Our difficulty ratings are based on the average family hiker who's in good physical shape, but is not an avid hiker.
- Easy - Relatively flat with little elevation changes, and no challenges like stream crossings or boulder sections. Younger children could handle these segments.
- Moderate - Some hills, but less than 200 feet in elevation change. Could have steep or muddy sections. Tweens should be okay with these segments.
- Hard - More hilly terrain, with more than 200 feet in elevation change. More appropriate for teens and older.
